Erika finds that yoga is much like her career in journalism: Both are about spreading light and shifting perspective. Her influences are multidisciplinary, with an emphasis on movement, alignment and awareness. Her classes are about cultivating space and ease in the heart, mind and body to better breathe, love and create. Erika’s specialty is helping people feel comfortable in their bodies and to observe without judgment. She offers students the space to challenge themselves and to spark their curiosity about their own practice. Erika has also trained in prenatal yoga, yin yoga and in teaching yoga to students with larger bodies. Erika's alignment-based flow classes are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. All classes begin and end with the sound of OM, and Erika weaves music of all styles into the experience. Erika offers hands-on assists to those who want them. Each class includes meditation and a restful savasana. Prenatal and yin classes include additional meditation or pranayama, and a longer savasana.
